Tuk Tuk is a social enterprise established to enable ordinary people to gain an insight into the complex issues of global poverty. We work hard to establish authentic partnerships with local project worker, who lead in the shaping of volunteer programmes. We have strong , long-established relationships with many of these workers
Tuk Tuk ensures that there is no cost to the local community who host volunteers. We also ensure that the local projects benefit in tangible ways by receiving resources as well as volunteer time.
As a social enterprise all profits are used to support local workers and their activities in Sri Lanka. This is presently done through Asha Trust, a UK registered charity
Tuk tuk is established on Christian principles and as such is committed to equality of opportunity. We therefore only support projects that are assessable by all community group, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or any other reason.
